So while Vikingbard’s following is still small, our music has managed to reach people all across the globe. Not merely here at home in the US, but in Canada, South America, and Europe (fun fact, the countries where our music has reached in Europe are countries where Norsemen either lived – like Sweden and Iceland – or visited, such as Greece and England)!
So stoked for this! Thank you, Vikingbard fans, the Bardings, for spreading our music far beyond my own means. And for any metal-heads reading this who haven’t heard of Vikingbard, go check out the debut album Return to Valhalla, available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, and Google Play.
Stay metal, my friends, and i’ll see thee in Valhalla
Take these bones My spirit doesn’t need them any longer In the zones Between the living and the dead
Take these eyes ‘Cuz I don’t need to see another minute Of this life From which I’m hanging by a thread
Please let go We’ll maybe meet again in someone’s vision Who could know If there’s another world up there?
On my own I’m passing through the final resolution Going home Without a promise or a prayer
The hour of indecision Too late to change your mind Was it all superstition It lies and then you’re dying
In my time I tried but didn’t find a real direction Chose a line On the periphery of life
Say goodbye There’s no escape from absolute conclusion Life goes by But memories remain the same
Well, here we are! Eight years since the journey began, and look how far we’ve come! From doom and gloom over a dead laptop and hours of lost music to one step away from releasing a debut album!
Yes, that’s right: Return to Valhalla will soon be released.
