I workout to Christian metal 😀

my family raised me to believe that anything even referencing something dark or evil was considered evil (it’s because of this that i never watched anime: they saw Dragonball Z had the word “dragon” in it, and they immediately associated it with satan – Revelation 12:9 – as well as anything else that looked like it, ie. was in the anime style). because of this, my dad, my abusive, asshole dad who was renting adult movies, buying sex toys, swearing, teaching us to steal, playing us off against each other, who introduced us to secular music and movies after he left the LORD, suddenly decided that Dragonforce was “evil” because it had “dragon” in it!

now that i’m an adult, metal is the still the only kind of music that resonates with me (even though i like medieval music, dungeon synth, blues, and classical). but, because of my upbringing, and my grandmother who believes that metal is evil just because it’s “loud” and “chaotic”, i still have that feeling that i’m going to hell for loving the beautiful music of metal: what’s worse is that there’s nothing in the Bible to support either me or them in their argument, at least as far as i know
