Yikes….

Well Paul’s first letter to Thessalonians and the book of Revelation state that there will be no rapture. The righteous, living and dead, go to heaven at the second coming, and the evil are annihilated at the final judgment after the 1000 years

I thought that’s what a rapture was?

What is often meant by rapture is a secret rapture; like in Left Behind where people mysteriously vanish. People use as their defense for this verse references to “thief in the night” and a misattributed passage in Matthew about “one will be taken, the other left”

Revelation 1:7 “behold, the LORD cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see Him” (emphasis mine)

Doesn’t sound like much of a secret, does it?
