im tryna collect my thoughts on like. views on charity vs competitiveness in different tamriel cultures
okay here’s something strange: why is the daedra-based tribunal temple seemingly more charitable than human societies that worship the eight divines or the aedra?
Because heathens are the shit and holier than thou people tend to be pricks.
Daedra demand action from mortals. And so daedra worshippers are deed oriented. Gods are dead, they demand nothing.
elvish lies! the Divines exist. besides, it’s easier to be “charitable” when you have a transsexual douche-bag who threatens to drop a meteor on you if you don’t obey him (of course it’s all moot when you realize that these so-called “living gods” are just overrated, over-glorified mortals whom you can kill). basically what MK is stating here, with the contrast between the false tribunal and the Divines (besides that east > west), is that humanity responds to despotism and tyranny.
i’ve been exposed to quite a few “heathens”, and they’re quite “holier than thou” and pretentious themselves
Depends on your definition of heathen, but I’m speaking from the experience of a raised Protestant in the south.
And Vivek is not a transsexual he’s a hermaphrodite…
As for the divines, yes they exist, I didn’t say they were non existent, only that they were dead, which means their will is often morphed by the power of belief, and no longer theirs alone.
Daedra however, their will is their own.
As for the living gods, Vivec may be vain, and lets godhood go to his head but he and the tribunal did great good for their people before then and some during their godhood as well. The Dunmer people owe them much, but this gets overshadowed by their failings.
most people use intersex to describe vivec these days bc ‘h*rmaphrodite’ is generally considered pretty offensive
also wickedmetalviking dont comment on my posts if you have me blocked so i cant reply you greasy coward
Ah fair enough, my bad.
Lol, what “good” did the tribunal do for morrowind? Legalized assassination? Classism? Racism? Cultural elitism? Slavery? I’m guessing we’re dismissing those because the dunmer aren’t white humans, so they can be racist pricks all they want and it’s considered “greatness.” You know, like in real life with non-white humans.
Also, way to show the weakness of your argument, boethiah, by personal attacks! Lol
