Upon browsing through the book The Lost Scriptures.. holy hell.. Like… I never realized just how fascinating the ‘lost books’ of the New Testament from Holy Scripture are.
Especially the Gospel of Thomas…?? Who the hell knew?!?! It’s such a Gnostic Gospel which is what makes it so absolutely intriguing… The mysteries of the Spirit takes on a whole new meaning for me, now.
Not that I am endorsing these ‘lost Gospels’; just that I think that half-truths can lead us to a greater understanding of the more superior, ultimate Truth… By teaching us to dissect these half-truths, to separate out the ultimate Truth from blatant lies.
i have looked into these noncanonical books and lost gospels as well. most of them teach things that are contradictory to the established books (i know most people outside of the faith say that the established books contradict themselves, but they haven’t read said books).
in regards to anything “extra-biblical”, i refer you to Isaiah 8:20
